It releases low-molecular-weight alcohols upon hydrolysis, and the reactive silanols generated thereby form chemical bonds with hydroxyl, carboxyl and oxygen-containing groups in various inorganic and organic substrates, forming a self-assembled monomolecular fluorosilicone film on the surface of inorganic materials.
The treated substrates feature extremely low surface energy and poor wettability, with excellent hydrophobic, oleophobic and stain-resistant properties.
It is suitable for the hydrophobic, oleophobic and stain-resistant surface treatment of stone, glass, ceramics, fumed silica, glass fiber and other materials.
